   The Intro to Pistol Shooting course is a 4 hour hands-on course consisting of basic handgun fundamentals, safety instruction and a hands-on practical portion conducted at a range under the guidance and supervision of an experienced instructor. The course is intended for all adults regardless of previous shooting experience. This course provides a basic knowledge of shooting fundamentals, pistol operation, and handgun safety.
Students will get detailed hands-on, on-range shooting instruction.

This is an excellent class for the novice or beginning shooter and is highly recommended for novice shooters that intend to qualify for NC Concealed Carry!

This is a 4 hour crash course including everything you need to know to handle you gun safely and shoot it properly. Students will receive a student packet with firearm information and receive a course completion certificate.

Some of the topics in the course include:

• Gun safety rules 

• Proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols

• Loading / Unloading

• Storing a pistol

• The fundamentals of shooting

• Shooting Positions

During the course, an experienced Instructor will validate comprehension and application of gun safety rules; range protocol; proper handling; loading and unloading procedures; application of pistol shooting fundamentals; stable shooting positions; live fire; and diagnose your performance. This is only the beginning of your firearms training and will require you to take the skills you learn here and apply them in personal practice time and future training.

Please leave all firearms unloaded and in your vehicle until instructed otherwise. Eye and ear protection is required for all range activities. Students may bring their own firearm for the class or rent a firearm for an additional $40

After registration, a more detailed info packet will be emailed to you that will include instructions on how to prepare for your class and what you will need to bring with you.
Payment is required in advance to reserve your spot in the class.

Students should bring their own Pistols and Ammunition OR they can be rented from Liberty Defense for an additional fee of $40
